A charming insight on the world of magazines, and fashion. This book is a page turner and funny and witty read.
Strongly recommended to all those who admired Tina Brown in her Vanity Fair/New Yorker years.

I find this book bewildering and entertaining at same time with a bit of gothic in between.
I really appreciated the story, the characters and the plot twist. This a story of the Golden Age and it has pros and cons of the era.
Recommended.

A lovely cozy mystery in one of my favourite series. A good and entertaining reading.

A very enjoyable and fun to read book. I cannot wait to read the next instalment in this series.

A good mystery with a solid plot and pinch of paranormal.
I liked the description of the policing work as well as the paranormal side with the prophetic dreams and the ancient ways learned by family.
Recommended for those who love a good solid thriller.

A very good mystery! It is enjoyable, fun to read and entertaining. It kept me guessing til the end there was never a moment of bore.
Very recommended.

This book is well written and well researched. It could be a very good book but some elements are lacking in the characters that seemed to be more a historical book description that coming alive on the page.

This a black/white book, I mean the main colours are white, the snow/the sky, and black, the poors, the Depression. It shows how New York was before the New Deal and how the rich and the poor shared similar spaces but rarely met.
It begins as a comedy of manners more than a mystery, the high class settings with celebrities like Edna Ferber and Noel Coward. The mystery is on the psychological side, looking at hidden motivations and secrets.
It is really enjoyable and gives a lot of food for thought.
Very good and really recommended.

This book is really funny and entertaining. It could be written by Wodehouse even if contains a lot of the classical Golden Age mystery.
The mystery works even if it sometimes takes the back seat and the humorous side is preponderant.
Really recommended.
