I enjoyed all the mysteries in the Margaret Beaufort Mystery series. This a well plotted, intriguing and solid historical mystery.
There's a well researched historical background and a mystery that kept me guessing. The characters are fleshed out.
Paul Doherty writes excellent historical mysteries and this one is up to my expectations.
Highly recommended.

Even if I liked other mysteries by this author this one was entertaining but not as good as the other.
It's a good mystery but I think it misses that something that keeps me turning pages as fast as I can.
I was glad to catch up with the character
3.5 upped to 4

I fell in love with this series and Titus Cervanius when I read the Capsarius. This is an intriguing series as it bring us to the Egypt just annexed by Rome and features fleshed out and realistic characters who are more than muscled heroes all action and no brain.
I couldn't wait less by Simon Turney as I already read other books he wrote and appreciated the attention to the historical details and the character development.
I couldn't wait to read about the Kush Queen and this fascinating civilisation. I wasn't disappointed by the plot and some unexpected twists.
Another riveting and well written novel that I thoroughly enjoyed.

There's a lot of books about Tutankhamun out now and this is the one I would choose to recommend if you want to learn about this pharaoh, famous for the discovery of his tombs and the riches.
There's more in the story, there's a complex and intriguing historical time..
It's easy to follow and entertaining.

This is the best book about Tutankhamun I read so far. There's a lot about his time, the complexity of his age and what happened after Akhenaten died.
It's an intriguing, well researched, and fascinating travel in a complex age making us discovery a pharaoh that had to restore thinks after his father's revolution.
I found it riveting and learned a lot.
Highly recommended.

A new to me author and series. It was the first I read and won't surely be the last as the author did a good job in developing a solid plot that kept hooked and guessing.
The fleshed out characters are likeable and I had a lot of fun.

Dive it's not one of those books that starts with a bang, it slowly build the scene and then you are hooked.
A gritty and dark story, gripping and well plotted.
I liked the characters and couldn't guess the twists. The final part is adrenaline fuelled.
Highly recommended.
