When I read the second book by an author there's always some expectations as I liked the first one.
This one was even better than the first one and it met all my expectations: entertaining, gripping, and well written.
I was glad to catch up with the characters and the solid mystery kept me guessing.

Gripping and highly entertaining, a well written police procedural featuring a cast of likeable an relatable characters.
The plot is fast paced, differnt POVs that helps you to see the story from different angles. The characters are fleshed out and I liked Gaby.
I can't wait to read the next one as I want to know what will happen.

This is one of my favorite police procedural and this novel kept me reading till late in the night.
Even if it's a gripping and entertaining novel I found that some parts were dragging a bit and too technical.
That said it's compelling and gripping story, the relationship between Warren and his team are very interesting, and the mystery is solid.
There's a lot going on and I liked the storytelling.
Even if it can be read as a stand alone I would recommend to read the rest of the series.
