A gritty, gripping, fast paced thriller that kept me hooked and on the edge till the last page.
It's the best in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed the well plotted story, the characters, and the solid mysteyr.

I was looking forward to read this book, I love Hettie and Tilly and their adventures are always a compelling and highly entertaining read.
This one is a bit darker and it deals with serious issues like memories, respect for the victims, and how tourism can exploit historical tragedy.
There's a lot of books about serial killer and there's a lot of books about Jack the Ripper. Most of the time there's a sort of morbit fascination with the killer and the victims are often forgotten.
That said there's a matrioska of mysteries and the plot flows as they're all solid. Hettie and Tilly are as lovely as usual and I loved Agatha Crispy.
I missed the usual cast of characters but this one features some very interesting cats.

I thought this was the first in a series and discovered it's the 35th. And I loved it because there's a lot of other books featuring these characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I was fascinated and hooked since the first pages. Everything seemed very weird and funny and I loved these quirky characters and this mystery.
I strongly recommend it even if I suppose I would have loved it even more if I had read some of the previous novels.

A lot of story about Asian ghosts, the lore and folklore. There's a lot to read and learn. Not all of them are horror, lots of them are fascinating.

A light mystery with a fascinating main character and a gripping plot. This is the first mystery book I read by this author, loved his book about vet life, and hope there's going to be other as I thoroughly enjoyed.
Good storyteling and character development, a solid mystery that kept me guessing.

I liked the illustrations and the explanations about the different plants. Foraging can be dangerous if you don't know the different plants and the author did a good job in explaining them.
