A good historical novel featuring great characters, a vivid historical backgrounds, and dealing with questions like what being a modern woman is.
Violet and Melanie are great characters, loved them and rooted for them.
This is the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.

This is the first book I read by Russell Banks and I'm sure it won't be the last as I fell in love with the storytelling and this story after some pages.
A fascinating, vivid, and well written story. Great characters, excellent storytelling.
Highly recommended.

I like this author's stories and this one was heartwarming and festive, exactly what I expect from a Hallmark Christmas story.
Highly recommended.

There are some very funny moments and some that requires a lot of suspension of belief.
I enjoyed it even if it took ages for Mike to note his feeling.
Entertaining.

A nice and entertaining mix of fantasy and rom-com, it made me smile and I had fun.

It was the first book I read by Dave Hutchinson and it was a strange experience: it's quite realistic but it's also visionary, well plotted and a bit disturbing at times.
There's a lot of different ideas in my head but I think it's one of those book that can only be judged on a personal level.

I love this series and usually I read these mysteries in one sitting. This one wasn't a favorite: I found it long winded, a bit repetitive and confusing at time.
The lady of the book club and Streetman are as funny as usual, the mystery surprised me but I would have preferred it a bit more faster.
I can't wait to read the next story, this one is for aficionados.

I don’t think Clare Chase can write a mediocre mystery or one which isn’t gripping.
This one is an intriguing and well plotted novel, a solid mystery that kept me guessing and surprised with each twists.
I loved the atmosphere of the school, the secrets and the forced relationship amongst the person bound by the will of someone who died long ago.
There’s a lot of secrets, hidden stories and there’s Clare who’s fighting to save Robin.
There’s plenty going on in the life of the characters, read the book and you will be surprised if you read the rest of the series. I can’t wait to read the next story and I have high expectations.
I think you can fully appreciate the story if you read the rest of the serie even if it can be read as a stand-alone.
A well plotted, entertaining and gripping story.
Highly recommended.

This is the second part of an intriguing and entertaining duology: a dark fantasy featuring a group of girls who discover their potential, love, and who they are.
The book starts just after The Grimrose Girls and it's a well plotted story. I loved how the author developed the characters and world building.
The story is well plotted and it kept me hooked.
