I’ve been loving this series since I read the first book and always enjoyed Kate’s investigation and was glad to visit Lavender Cottage and the lovely surroundings
This means I always enjoyed the novels in this series and found them compelling even when I wasn’t the biggest fan.
This one is my favorite, gripping and entertaining, full of surprising twists and well thought characters.
Kate is personally involved as the body is found in her garden and Woody is amongst the suspects.
There’s something in the past that could be behind the murder, there’s a dysfunctional family always in the grey zone, and there’s a lot of twists.
I was surprised till the end and liked the solution. Kate is not being reckless and I loved how she’s fighting for Woody, searching to discover what happened and who did it.
The author did an excellent job in developing this tightly knitted plot, fast paced and never dragging.
I read it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down.
Can’t wait to read the next book in this series, this one is strongly recommended.

There's plenty to love in this book: an unusual heroine, a mix of fact and fictions, a well plotted story, an interesting romance, and an arch-villain.
I loved these elements but I would have preferred a faster pace as it is very slow at times.
The author is talented and, with a faster pace, this would have been a five star.
Even if I struggled a bit at times it was an enjoyable read.

A brilliant and intriguing book, the story of Britain told by Mary, a woman living in Bournevell. It's not an easy review because I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, loved Mary, and learned a lot about moments and how the social changes since the end of WWII.
I also learned about Bourneville, a sort of utopian town build in the XIX century by Cadbury brothers.
Jonathan Coe is a master storyteller and the characters are lively and intriguing. I loved Mary, loved her being down to the hearth and her will to live and face her life-threatening illness as my mother.
It's a fascinating book that helped me to understand how history and people changed.
Highly recommended.

I read Braking Day by Adam Oyebanji, an excellent sci fi, and was curious to read this thriller. It's a well plotted and gripping story and I think Mr Adam Oyebanji will surprise us with other great stories.
Highly recommended.

It's an anthology of ghost story, a mixed bag as some stories are better than other but always gripping and well plotted.
I appreciated it and discovered some interesting authors.

A sweet, festive, and entertaining Christmas rom-com. I enjoyed it, rooted for the characters, and think it's an excellent book for a grey winter afternoon.

I had a lot of fun in reading this alternate history that mixes sci-fi and actions. Some parts are bit over the top but it's a well plotted and gripping story.
Loved Ziggy and the world building, good storytelling.

I liked Daughter of the Moon Goddess and love Heart of the Sun Warrior, the excellent closure of this duology.
it's fascinating story, I was glad to catch with old characters and met some new as they're all well plotted.
The storytelling and the plot kept me turning pages and loved the world building.
