This follow up to The Raven is even better than the first book and I found some echo of one of my favorite book, Matheson's I am Legend.
A gripping, fast paced, and tense story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Good storytelling and plot devleopment.
Highly recommended.

I should be one of the few person in the Western world who didn't read Harold Fry but I will read it soon as I feel hard for this story.
Maureen is not a likeable character but she grew on me and I felt for this woman who is facing a world she doesn't recognise.
A short story that I read in one sitting as the storytelling is excellent and the story full of emotions and thought provoking.
Highly recommended.

I think I read The Pursuit of Love multiple times and it's one of my top books. Nancy Mitford is one of my favorite writer.
I requested this arc then I thought that may I wasn't the right person and then I thought this is a challenge.
And i liked it because it well written and it was a lot of fun.
I enjoyed it for its own merit and forget to compare it to the original.
A good, witty, and compelling story with a cast of fleshed out characters.

Loved Black Drop and loved this one, another well plotted and gripping story.
There's a complex plot, a bit claustrophobic setting, and Laurence Jago is a fleshed out and interesting character.
The historical background is vivid and the mystery solid.
Highly recommended.

Big Bad Wolf is one of my favorite paranormal romance series and always found the stories gripping and highly entertaining with a sweet romance.
This is a sort of spin off as Eli appeared in one of the stories, i think it's the first in a new series and it's a good story full of potential and promises.
The magic is there and the chemistry between the MCs is well done. I loved this story and it kept me hooked.
Highly recommended.

I've been reading Kitt Hartley mysteries since the first book and the characters became sort of friends you need to check from time to time and know that they are well.
The series is becoming more mystery and less cozy mystery but it's not losing it's appeal as this story is well plotted and gripping.
I love how Helen Cox makes you feel the places and visualising them. The industrial archeology, the museum are fascinating and I wish i could visit the places that inspired this story.
The mystery is solid, tightly knitted and fast paced. it kept me guessing and the solutions surprised me.
Can't wait to read the next one.
Highly recommended.

It was a lot of fun and it's the perfect book if you want to learn about trivia, historical facts, crime and a lot of other info.
It's a book you can read a bit at a time and enjoyed it.

This is one of the most intriguing and gripping mystery I read this year. A fascinating mix of historical fact and fiction, a cast of characters including a villain/victim I would have throttle myself.
I was fascinated by the research as the author did a lot of reaserch in Venice about places/history/museums and the nearly forgotten stories about Alessandro il Moro and Lorenzaccio.
It would be easy to compare this mystery to Donna De Leon but I think that the only common element is Venice, each author delivers a story set in Venice but with a different way of looking at the town and its ihnabitants.
The cast of characters is intriguing, they share a common past but also a lot of hate and traumas.
Arnold is a great, well rounded, and relatable character, I like him and I want to read more about him.
It was a gripping, compelling, and entertaining read and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

3.5* upped to 4
I had fun and think that the idea was intriguing. There's some very funny moments and some which are sort of copied from the original story.
It's a funny and light read that I enjoyed.
