It was an entertaining enjoyable read even it's the best I read by this author. I enjoyed the plot, love the setting, and rooted for the characters.
I didn't always understand the character's choices but the plot kept me hooked.

It's a well plotted, gripping, and twisty story that kept me hooked on the edge.
There's an eery atmosphere, a sense of supernatural and a pinch of folk horror. I thoroughly enjoyed the solid plot, the well thought characters, and the solution that surprised me.
Highly recommended.

This series is highly entertaining and I usually read them in max two settings as I can't stop reading. This is not my favorite instalment but it's a lot of fun.
Gideon, Annie, The Damned are back working to together and some new and fascinating characters are added to the mix.
I like how the author developed strong and fleshed out female characters but also some comic ones likes Yogi the bear and Sidney the mirror.
There's a lot of world building and there's not a moment of bore.
Fast paced and action packed, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was invited to read this arc and was very of the invitation as it made me discover a very interesting, well written, and important book that talks about Ignatius Sancho, an abolitionist and former slave.
This is an important book because it introduce us to Ignatius and his life full of sufference and betrayal but also hope and resiliance.
The author did an excellent job in developing fleshed out and intriguing characters, a vivid historical background, and bring to life an important historical character.
It's a gripping read and I strongly recommend it.

It's twisty, dark, and a lot of fun to read. A well plotted and gripping homage to slasher movies of the 80s and an entertaining plot.
I enjoyed it, liked the storytelling and the character development.

It's a disturbing story with a high level of creepyness. There's not a lot of gore, but there's a lot of mental anguish in this mix of folk and cosmic horror.
It's the story of a man who run away and had to come back and being trapped, of people so-normal-and-nice but with a hidden agenda.
Of ancient myths.
Ramsey Campbell can surely writes stories that keeps you on the edge and I love the storytelling and the plot of this one.

Very scary, dark, horrorific. A book that kept me turning pages but was also able to make me feel Kelda's feelings of dread and fear.
A mix of horror, historical fiction that works on a dual timeline giving us a fresh version of the haunted house trope.
You cannot help feeling and rooting for Kelda and hope that everything will work.
Good storytelling, great atmosphere, interesting characters.

It's a quite weird and entertaining story, an unusual horror that I enjoyed even if it's a bit slow during the first part.
There's cosmic and folk horror, ancient gods, a fungi festival, and some 70s vibes.
It's well written, the world building is fascinating, and I enjoyed it.

This a fascinating and well researched book. It starts with the story of Edward Rulloff, a serial murderer, and talks about the evolution of criminal profiling and science.
It was a pleasant and informative read.

This is the interesting start of a new fantasy series. It's a bit slow at times but I loved the world building and think that it was well plotted.
Good character development and storytelling. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.
