This was a lovely, enjoyable and entertaining surprise. A well plotted and lovely book that made me smile and root for Berenice.
Excellent storytelling and character development, a well plotted story.
Highly recommended.

What a ride and what excellent book. A book that kept me guessing, trying to understand how the two subplots were going to be joined and where we were running.
It's very satisfying, entertaining, and I loved the storytelling and world building
Highly recommended.

Short stories are usually a mixed bags as some are better than other. In this case they were all at high level and it was a matter of taste.
My favorite was The End of Liner, a dystopia and a claustrophobic story with a great twist.
I loved the other, had fun, and read the book as fast as I could.
Highly recommended.

I want a house like the one where Essie live. And want to live in a village like the one described in the book.
I had fun and throughly enjoyed this paranormal rom-com featuring a great cast of characters, lovely MCs, and a lot of laugh out loud moments.
It's funny, it's compelling, and it's a well written book.
I would be happy to read other books featuring these characters, this one is strongly recommended.

Afterlife crisis was a lot of fun and this one was a lot of fun. It's a bit surreal, sometimes quite weird, always very funny.

This is a stunning series, a well plotted and gripping fantasy series and the West African setting and mythology is great.
I was sure I read the first book but I was wrong and, even if it's better to read the books in order, I had no issue and enjoyed the fabolous world building and the well plotted characters.
The author is a talented storyteller and the story kept me turning pages.
I found the conclusion satisfying but there's some open points, ihmo, and I hope there's will be a new instalment.
Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this story as it's well written and I loved the details of the historical background as the author did an excellent job in developing a realistic, vivid, and well researched setting.
The mystery is solid, full of twists and kept me guessing. I liked the solution and how Martha and Luke interact during the investigation.
I think it's becoming an excellent series and there's a lot of potential for developments and new exciting mysteries.
My only note is about Martha and Luke relationship as sometimes takes the scene and it's a bit repetitive. I think that some developments in any direction (love, friendship, etc) would help and make the next story more exciting.
I read this story in one setting and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I recommend it, it can be read as a stand alone but better read the books in order.

This is one of those book that are marketed as YA but they could also be marketed as dark fantasy/grimdark as there's violence, gore, and the characters flawed and morally grey.
That said I enjoyed and think that the author developed a fascinating world and intriguing characters.
The world of The Keeper of the Night is complex, dark, and I loved how the author made it so fascinating.
The characters are well developed, not always likeable, intriguing in they're being damaged and flawed.
It could have be a 5* but the brusque start ten years after the first book made being involved a bit harder. A summary of what happened would have helped.
I enjoyed it and enjoyed the series. Can't wait to read the next book by this author.

A fascinating book about Dolores Del Rio, the first Latina star in Hollywood.
It was a riveting and fascinating read, I learn who Dolores del Rio was because all knew was related to some pictures.
I discovered a clever woman and how hard her life was.
The author did an excellent job in developing the characters and describing the fascinating historical background.
There's a lot of research and this book made watch a Del Rio's movie and read something more about her.
Good storytelling, character development, and well researched historical background.
Highly recommended.
