I don't usually read historical western but something in the blurb attracted my attention. I found it well written and entertaining story, the pace is right and the characters are well developed.
It was an interesting read, recommended.

It's a long time since last I read a paranormal romance by Terry Spear and I enjoyed this one.
It's fast paced, action packed novel featuring likeable characters and sweet romance.
Festive and entertaining.

A Haunted History of Invisible Women: True Stories of America's Ghosts
Leanna Renee Hieber, Elizabeth Kerri Mahon, Andrea Janes
A well researched, gripping, and often moving book about the women behind the ghost stories and their life.
There's horror in this book but it's often real life horror, violence and abuse.
This is an excellent book about history of women but it's also an interesting guide to hauntings and ghosts.
I thoroughly enjoyed and it's highly recommended.

This is another excellent addition to this excellent series: gripping, well plotted, and entertaining.
It's always great to travel to Storyton Hall and catch up with Jane and the cast of characters.
This is a solid mystery that kept me guessing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
One note: I love this series but I think the books must be read in order as there's some backstory.
Highly recommended.

I loved this book as it's easy to follow and well explained. It's not the first I read about Kitchen Witchcraft but I think it's a very good one as there's plenty of explanation.
I learned something new and enjoyed it.

There's a lot of layers in this book: the story of a friendship and the story of a country at a turning point in history.
The author writes a vivid story, always fascinating and compelling. An excellent storyteller that keeps the attention alive and tell stories and a story.
I loved it and I think it's an important book that, I hope, lots of people will read.
Highly recommended.

i'm still reading the Night of the Plague and loving but Orhan Pamuk is one of my favourite writer and knew what to expect.
It's a sort of door stopper and one of his longest book. Not a good book to approach a complex, multilayered, and riveting authors.
This is not an average historical fiction and there's also another layer to be discovered and something hidden in the story
There's a lot of history on the background- There's the twilight of the Ottoman empire and there's a fascinating and fictional island.
I'm still reading and loving what I'm reading. One piece of advice: if you want to start reading Pamuk try "My Name is Red" or "Istanbul: Memories and the City"
I will be back and add something to this review.
Even if it's one of the best book of 2022 for me I would recommend if you love literary historical fiction or you already read something by this author.

It's the good start for a new cozy series and I throughly enjoyed this book as it's fast paced, well plotted, and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
I like Abbey and the cast of characters, the lovely setting.
I can't wait to read the next story.

I read it the first time and found it confusing and slow. I re-read and appreciated the characters and their qualities.
It's a complex book, slow burning and it requires you to be patient.

I love Harbinder and love the mysteries that feature her. This one is excellent, gripping, and highly entertaining.
I don't think that Elly Griffith can write a bad mystery and this is another excellent book she wrote.
It's also the best featuring Harbinder as the story of Group of friends, their secretes, and their relationships is both riveting and complex enough to keep you guessing.
I was surprised by all the twists and the solution was unexpected. I had fun and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was one of those "happy sleep deprivation" book that kept me till late in the night.
I can find no fault to this book: excellent storytelling and character development, the right pace, solid plot.
I hope there's going to be a lot more featuring Harbinder and her team in London as I like them and want to know more about Harbinder's future life.
Highly recommended.
