I'm Italian born and bread and always read rom com set in Italy as a sort of fantasy world. They're my guilty pleasure and always enjoy them even when I found the plot a bit too fantasy like.
That side I enjoyed this story but I found Cassie and Lisa a bit unlikeable and nasty. Jane is a well rounded and interesting characters and I liked her.
The plot kept me reading and is well developed.
It was a lot of fun to read this story and I recommend it.

If you are interesting in heirloom seeds and biodiversity this is as fascinating and gripping as a mystery

I'm always a bit way when I read about a book "written by TikTok sensation" or somethin similar as I think that video and written words are two different means of expressing ideas and stories.
I can say I enjoyed this book as it's fast paced and the plot is well thought and kept me turning pages.
I read in one sitting and appreciated the plot and how the author deals with a lot of tropes making them work and creating something original.
There's a lot of potential in this story and I'm curious to know what will be next as the last pages surprised me and left me wishing I could read the next book soon.
The first chapters are an excellent mix of dystopia and fantasy, there's a growing tension and a sort of cosmic horror in some parts as the world out of the Ledge is unknown and unreachable.
I loved that part because it's chilly and thrilling at the same time. The plot becomes more standard fantasy: the chosen one, romance, discovery of secrets and this made me rated it down as it was entertaining but less thrilling.
As this is the first book by this author I think they will hone their skills and deliver new and exciting stories.
This one is recommended.

I liked the first book in this series and loved this one which starts just after the previous ended.
Tasha Suri is great weaver of worlds and characters and this is a complex world and the characters are fleshed out.
The romance is developing and it's a nice have even if sometimes I felt like it was interrupting the flow of the more complex story.
There's a lot of intrigue and i thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Highly recommended.

Cora Harrison's historical mystery are always well written and gripping but my favourites are those featuring the Reverend Mother as they're solid mystery but also the vivid and well researched portrait of Cork after the Irish Indipendence.
There's the very rich, the very poor, there's political unrest and indipendentist. The Reverend Mother is an exceptional character, a strong and clever woman who can deal with people from any social class.
This book starts with a bang and kept me turning pages and guessing.
An excellent book: gripping and fascinating.

I always have a lot of fun when I read Roan Parrish's books and this one was no exception even if it's a bit slow at the beginning.
