Capri is one of my fav places in the world and I wanted to read a story featuring strong characters, emotions, secrets and glamour.
This was the perfect book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The author is a talented storyteller and the story kept me hooked and entertained.

Alys Clare's historical mysteries are always fascinating and this one is the best in this series. I liked the plot, the vivid historical background, wes glad to catch up with the characters.

I'm a huge fan of Dorothy Parker, one of the wittest and more tragic woman in the XX century literary world.
I even went to see the Algonquin so this book was right up my alley.
It captured my attention since the first pages and kept me hooked till the end. It's well written and it was great to meet these characters even if they're developed according to the author and the author choose her versione of certain facts.
I enjoyed and think it's an interesting book as I hope that some people will discover Dorothy Parker.

I'm fascinated by the so called Hiberno-Scottish mission and the different monks as they play a relevan role in the culture of Dark Ages and produce masterpiece like the Book of Kell.
This is a slow paced book but I don't expect a action packed story when it comes to monks. There's the story, the historical background, and there's food for thought.
I loved this book and I will surely read it again.

Peg and Rose are two formidable ladies and I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery that starts a new cozy series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, loved the two cantankerous ladies and the evolution of their relationship.
The characters are well developed and interesting, Peg and Rose are two great senior sleut.
The plot is gripping, well told, and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
