I couldn't guess the culprit and the twists surprised me.

Valerie Burns can't write a bad or boring book and this one is the highly entertaining and solid.
I fell in love with the story since i met Baby, I'm a very huge dog lover, and had a lot of fun at Maddy antics.
The plot is tightly knitted and fast paced, the mystery is solid and kept me guessing.
An excellent debut for a new series, highly recommended.

This is a very interesting historical mystery series as it's one of the few that talks about aftermath and intrigue e not only about the Bright Young Thing.
A gripping, twisty and well plotted story featuring fleshed out characters and a vivid historical background.

I think this book pace reminds me of the Mediterranean life pace: take it easy an slow. I enjoy it and found the plot fascinating and unusual.
Well written and realistic.

It was my first Scott Turow and I can say he's a master storyteller and this complex thriller kept me hooked.

I mainly requested this ARC for Peggy Ehrhart and I thoroughly enjoy her novella. I also like Carlene O' Connor and Maddie Day whose novella are well plotted and entertaining.

This is the first time I'm a blogtour for a book I bought well before I heard about the blog tour. The excellent reviews by writers I love made me buy it. The Amistead Mauping reference was a bonus added as I'm a huge fan of Tales from the City.
I fell in love when it talked about the evengelical aunts and the car with the stickers about the Rapture.
It's a romp, a highly entertaining romp. The occasional one night stand that turn in the search for the disappeared Camilo. The very diverse cast that I found interesting and made me laugh.
And Commander who is a great characters.
It's not a fast-pace/actio packed/etc etc but it's a highly entertaining and gripping story that I strongly recommende.d
Hope to read the next story soon.
