A gripping and spooky psychological thriller with elements of horror. It's a well plotted and riveting story that kept me on the edge.
Good setting and fleshed out characters.
It's a bit slow after the first part but it kept my attention till the end.

Well developed characters and world building, good storytelling.

A book that gives a voice and a face to someone who was a name on paper or in the family history.
The author did an excellent job in developing these characters and this ia mix of historical fiction and history.
Highly recommended.

It's one of those book you start and cannot stop till you turn the last page. Gripping, well plotted, and solid.
The elements of contemporary online make it even more interesting.

I was glad to be back in the world of Witherward and I was glad to read this sort of prequel.
I enjoyed it even if I wasn't a big fan of Oliver and Cassia.
As I already wrote I'm a fan of alternate city and this London was as fascinating as I remembered.
The story is well plotted even if it drags a bit at time.
It can be read as a stand alone or as the first in this series.
I enjoyed it and it' recommended.

A horror according to my heart: lovely place that becomes a nightmare populated by evil ghosts, action, gore, and a fast placed plot.
Highly entertaining, it kept me on the edge.

This is not the classic whodunnit or mystery as it's a sort of meta book and the author is also the narrator.
If you love Anthony Horowitz and the "Magpie Murders" you can appreciated this pastiche that mixes elements and I found highly entertaining.
It worked in a bizarre way and I had fun.

A fun story, an interesting romance, and an interesting introduction to the Ghanian culture.
I found it compelling and highly entertaining, rooted for the characters, and love the style of writing.
I hope to read other books by this author soon.
