A paranormal thriller that kept me on the edge till the end. The author did an excellent job in describing the claustrophobic atmosphere and plotting the story.
Helen slowly grew on me and the satisfying solution came as a surprise.

Another good mystery by this author. A limited number of possible suspect, a murder in the past that could be related to one in the present.
A solid mystery that kept me guessing and turning pages.

It was a highly entertaining, gripping, and thought provoking read. A thriller featuring an interesting MC who doesn't know who he can trust.
There's a lot of prejudice exposed in this excellent story and I thoroughly enjoyed the style of writing and how the author deals with very serious issues.
Highly recommended.

I like Jean Fullterton's books and loved this one based on her memories. It's an interesting way of learning about life in East End London and what meant to grew up in the 50/60s
The author did an excellent job, never sugarcoated reality, and made me learn something new.

Loved this book since I saw the gorgeous cover. A story that mixes fantasy, folklore, and family saga.
Two women with different goals, a house, and a magic setting.
The author made it work creating a well plotted story, developing realistic characters, and making the fantasy part work with the plot.

Cormac McCarthy is a great writer and I'm always fascinated by his books, atmospheres, and characters.
This is a sort of picaresque story, cruel and funny at the same time.
The author is a master storyteller and this is an excellent story.
