I was fascinated by the synopsis and really tried to love this book. Unfortunately it fell flat and it was not my cup of tea.
Even if I loved the concept and the setting, I found it slow and a bit repetitive.
There's a lot of potential but it didn't worked for me.

I'm two minds about this book as I cannot decide whether I liked it or not.
I was expecting a historical mystery but this is a well written and entertaining historical fiction novel.
I really like Kate and description of the Yorkshire countryside.
The book is well written even if it's a bit slow. The cast of characters was interesting and the characters are well described.
The mystery part was a bit flat, it was not hard to understand who the culprit was.
It was the first book I read in this series and I'm curious to read the others to have a better understandment of the heroine and some references to the past.

A perfect heartwarming Christmas book, escapism at highest level.
It's an enjoyable and entertaining read, perfect for a cozy afternoon on the sofa.
The book is well written, the plot reminds of the Hallmark holiday movies and the characters are likeable and interesting.
It's page turner that keeps you hooked till the last page.

A really interesting and engaging read. This book was interesting and informative, I learnt a lot about Robert Oppenheimer.
I loved the style of writing and how Oppenheimer was seen through the eyes of other people.
I look forward to reading other books by Louisa Hall.

What a wonderful surprise: this book is wonderful, one the best fantasy I read this year.
I loved everything: the plot, the characters, the world building.
It's a mix of different fantasy genres including steampunk and fae.
Hetta, the main character, is lovely and realistic.
All the characters are enchanting, well developed and lovely.
I was enthralled since the beginning and couldn't put it down.
I cannot wait to read the next instalment in this series.

What a lovely cozy mystery! I didn't read the previous instalment but I had no problems in understanding the lovely cast of characters and what was going.
I loved the plot, that kept guessing till the end, as much as the setting and the cast of characters.
The style of writing was very good, the plot is engaging and entertaining.

I loved reading this biography: it made me laugh, moved to tears and was overall interesting.
I didn't know the Supervet and this was a great introduction.
The book is brilliant, wonderfully written and a real page turner.
I love books about vet, grew up reading Herriot, and this was one of the best I read.
