This is an excellent conclusion to this duology and I loved it much more than The Witch King. The characters and the style of writing are excellent and I loved the plot and the storytelling.

I enjoyed this novel which is entertaining and gripping as the other. The different setting is interesting as it starts with the discovery of a murder and Clifford being arrested.
Eleanor is involved in another murder investigation, and she will have to face a different policeman and people from the world of cinema.
The story is well plotted, and some parts made me laugh out loud. The mystery is full of twists and kept me guessing as usual.
I was bit perplexed when I met the French detective the first time as he seemed a cross between Inspector Clouseau and the stereotype of the French men. It was the first impression because the character was more complex, and I appreciated how the author developed him.
It was another well plotted and entertaining story that I read in one sitting.
Highly recommended.

A great summer read and the compelling story of a female friendship. Three women in different phases of their life, a lovely setting, interesting professional life.
Susan Mallery can surely write stories that keeps me turning pages and this one was no exception.
A bit slow at time but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I chose to review this novel as something told I was going to love it. Let's call it intuition or gut feeling or X but it was right, I loved this novel.
It made me laugh out loud, root for the characters, love the mischievous grandpas, and cry buckets.
There's a lot of classic tropes and there's a well plotted and compelling story about two person and their lovely families.
I loved Kamilah and Liam: the well developed and relatable characters. They are multifaceted and their story is sweet and realistic.
My favorite were the terrible grandfathers: a couple of terrific senior that are amongst the most interesting character I read in a contemporary romance.
I strongly recommend this story as the author is a talented storyteller.

Any G. A. McKevett's mystery is always at the top of my TBR list and Granny Reid's mysteries are always at the top of the top as this is one of my favorite series.
They are great mystery but they 're also full of interesting social and historical remarks and I can't help loving Granny Reid as she's clever, brave, and a great grand mother.
This is a sweet story as something could change in Stella Reid's life and, crossing finger, it could be an important change.
I'm always happy to catch up with these characters and I'm always involved in these mystery that I read as fast as I can.
This mystery was complex, the victim is someone hated by a lot of people, and the coming election for the sherif doesn't help.
It was an exciting and gripping read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Highly recommended.

I'm huge fan of Ronald Hutton's work since I read The Triumph of the Moon and this was another exceptional and well researched book that helped to clarify a lot of misinformation about myths and characters that are part of the contemporary popular culture or pagan religion.
It was an interesting and gripping read, I learned a lot and appreciated the storytelling and research.
It's strongly recommended.

There's not a lot of book about male friendship in pre-teen o early teen years. This is a good story, entertaining and poignant.
There's adventure but there's also insight and reflections.
