I find it fascinating and loved the style of writing. i think it's a sort of conte philosophique adapted to our age and I found myself reflecting on the questions discussed in the book.
I also appreciated the essay about Julian, one of my favorite historical characters, but I would have preferred it was at the end of the book.
It was a riveting and intellectually satisfying experience and I enjoyed the storytelling and the characters.

Atmospheric, eerie, disturbing, gripping, and well written. It's one of those book that makes use a long list of adjective trying to describe what they made you feel and your impression.
Carol Birch is a talented writer and storyteller, she deliver a story that mixes paranormal aspects with a story about coming of age and confused identities.
I think it's one of the best book read this year.
Highly recommended.

A book about the COVID age and what is happening in this age. It's a sort of flush of consciousness and the plot exists but it's a sort of general picture that contains a lot of remarks.
Racism, climate change, health politics.
Ali Smith is a master storyteller and this is an excellent nove.

An interesting behind the scene in the life of a museum curator. It’s full of food for thought and it helped me to reflect on the relationship between power and museum exhibitions.

A good mystery set in a small town in the 70s. Music, plenty of characters and stories.
I was a bit confused at the beginning but I got hooked and enjoyed it.
The mystery is solid and I liked the characters.

I fell in love with the cover but the story, even if it's well written, didn't keep my attention. I'm always a bit wary of the Greek myth retelling because they very complex and this one was nice but I missed the complexity of the original myth.
Not my cup of tea.

I fell in love with the gorgeous cover and appreciated this well written introduction to Tarots. It's an excellent reference guide or the perfect book if you want to learn about this complex system of symbols.

Excellent and highly entertaining urban fantasy.
It's the second in a series and I think it would be better to read the book in order. I didn't do it and struggled a bit at the beginning even if I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Excellent world building and character development. good storytelling.
