I thoroughly enjoyed this story as it's an interesting and gripping story with a strong reference to what is happening now.
I was happy to catch up with Bruno and his friends, spent a lot of time wishing I could have a Bruce dog and loving the mouthwatering descriptions of food.
This is more a political thriller that the other novels and I appreciated what I learned and the descriptions of the actions.
The Occitane part left me wondering as it's more complex, a true Occitan would support the Catalonia independence but there they would also talk about Ousitania Libra plus there's also a strong Occitan community in Italy, my mother was born in that area.
Even if I found this part a bit fictional I thoroughly enjoyed the story and loved the tense final.
Can't wait to read the next Bruno's story.

Now I know a lot about the sexual life of insects and I added a book to the list of "SCI-FI books that are a lot of fun and must be read"
It's a fast paced and highly entertaining sci-fi story featuring a cast of great characters and an excellent world building.
It's strongly recommended.

I've been a fan of Sulari Gentill's historical mysteries for ages and I hope there's going to be other Rowan Sinclair novels.
That said I liked this novel but i didn't love it. It's well written, the different genres work well together, and the characters are fleshed out.
That said it kept me hooked but it wasn't one of those I-HAD-TO-READ-IT-IN-ONE-SITTING novel as I found a bit forced at times.
As I think I had too high expectations it's recommended.

An excellent mystery and the depiction of a historical moment. It's a fascinating story, highly entertaining, but it's also the great portrait of people in Harlem during the Harlem Renaissance.
The author was an excellent author and it's a pity he died young.

I loved this book since the first pages and it was a sort of epiphany as I discovered a great author.
It's a very dense and intense book, there's plenty of food for thought and there's a lot of story.
Everything works and I can find no fault: storytelling, style of writing, character and plot development.
I will surely read the other books by this author.

This was the first book I read by Nina Stibbe and won't surely be the last as I found this book entertaning and full of food for thought.
There's a lot of humour, interesting social remarks, and an excellent style of writing.
