It's a very intersting YA, a powerful story that I loved. It's liked being punched and loving every moment of it.
Savannah is a strong and fascinating characters, the world building is fascinating, and the mix of family lore and fiction make this book very original.

It was a very interesting book that made me learned something new and kept me entertaining.
It's compelling, well researched, and made me travel in time.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.

I loved how this novel explore new territories in the fantasy and described what happens to a matriarchal society when rules are a bit too strict.
It's not the first fantasy to talk about matriarchal society nor the first one about strong women but the author did a good job in making them fresh and original.
The world building is well developed as the characters. I liked the storytelling and the multiple POVs make this story gripping and helped me to see different sides.
Some less pages would have helped and made this story more gripping.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

3,5* upped to 4
I loved Ikenna and think there's a lot of potential in this story but somehow it felt rushed and a bit confusing at times.
Ikenna is a strong and powerful characters but her inner monologue are bit repetitive.
The said there's a fascinating world building and the author deals with some very serious topics like misogyny and racism.
A dark fantasy with sci-fi elements, an interesting work by this author.

The Hunger of the Gods is the epic, action packed, and gripping second book of the Bloodsworn Saga.
It starts just after the previous book ended and it's an exciting ride that never drags.
There's a lot of world building, new characters, some funny and some very sad moments.
I appreciated the summary at the beginning of the book and list of characters.
An exciting and entertaining epic fantasy.
Highly recommended.

A gothic novel that mixes past and present and made me think of Daphne De Maurier (Cornwall, gothic atmosphere, mansion)
The author did a good job in delivering a novel that mixes thriller with historical fiction, family secrets and social injustice.
It's gripping and entertaining even if a bit too long at times.

I don’t know it Ferry Market Lane is chick-lit, rom-com or women’s fiction and I don’t care as categories are not easy to apply to this series.
You can approach this book as pure escapism or you can read them as the portraits of different women. These women are not perfect and they know what life is and how it can hurt you or you can make the wrong choices.
Glanna was a wild child, she had fun and was an addicted. She has talent but did a lot to waste it. She doesn’t want to become a mother or a wife, she only wants to be herself.
This is the most complex and my favorite character in this series. I loved them all but Glanna is special and there’s not a lof of characters like her in the world of women’s fiction.
I loved her character and loved her changes, her struggles, and her character arc in the path to happiness.
Ferry Lane Market is as lovely as usual and I was glad to catch up with the characters from the previous books and spend time with them.
Nicola May delivered another poignant, life affirming, heart-warming story that made me smile and moved me to tears, I can’t wait to read the next.

I think that a review of a new Jody Taylor’s novel is for people who never met Max and Markham or travelled in time with the St. Mary crew.
Or maybe I’m wrong and you already read her book and I’m wondering why you’re reading this instead of reading the book but who am I to discuss people’s choices?
For instance, I discovered The Chronicles of St Mary's when I read an arc and fell hard for the series that is I had to go and read the rest because it was one of the best and funniest series I read in a while. History, time travel, quirky characters, plenty of humour and action.
This is the last addition and it’s better if you read the rest of the series because it could be a bit confusing and hard to follow.
There’s a lot of jumps through the history, I laughed a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Even after a lot of books Jody Taylor is able to surprise me and deliver fresh ideas.
I was glad to catch with the characters and follow them in these adventures, I missed a bit Saint Mary’s but loved what I read.
So go, read them, and be ready to have a lot of fun.
