It was an entertaining story and I appreciated the characters, had fun, and escape to another time.
It made me smile and root for the characters.

Even if there's potential I couldn't care for the characters and the very slow burning plot didn't keep my attention.
Not my cup of tea.

This is the second Gideon Sable and I hope it's the last as I'm loving this series and the great characters.
Another heist, another gripping and highly entertaining story that made me laugh and turn pages as fast as I could.
The world building is amazing, there's plenty of brilliant ideas and I loved them all.
The gang is back and we get to know more about their story and to see a lot of changes.
It's not the classic action packed story: there's a lot of iteration and background before we get to the action.
And loved them.
Highly recommended.

It's a page turner, disturbing and gripping at the same time. It's one of those book you start and can't stop reading even if you dislike the characters and it drives you to some very dark places.
The author did an excellent job in developing plot and characters. I wasn't in love with the ending but I think it's a gripping read.

I fell in love with the gorgeous cover and found the blurb interesting.
I was expecting a mix of magic and politics but I'm not sure if that was what I got. It's surely a book full of intrigue and politcs, the fantasy side takes the backside even it plays a part.
I like the Balkanic/Greek background and I found the initial chapters interesting as I was introduced to the world and the characters.
It's a slow burning story and not a lot happens.
I struggled a bit with this story and I would have liked some more action.
I think I will read the next book in this series, this one seemed like a sort of long introduction.

A dark and twisty page turner with the right creepy level and a cast of interesting characters. I loved the eery setting and the excellent storytelling. The plot is well crafted and full of surprises.

This is the best I read in this series: a ride that kept me on the edge and turning pages as fast as I could.
It's a gripping and riveting thriller featuring a great cast of characters and a plus which is the setting.
The descriptions of flora, fauna and mounting are great and they made me wish I could be visiting the places.
The mystery is twisty and kept me guessing till the end.
Loved every moment of this story.
Highly recommended.
