A heartwarming and life affirming book that made me travel to Cornwall and enjoyed a lovely story.
I had fund, smile, rooted for the characters, and was able to escape reality.
Good character and plot development, lovely setting.
Recommended.

This is the second in the Oregon Honeycomb Mystery and this promises to become an excellent series.
A fast paced plot full of twists and action that kept me turning pages and entertained.
Wren is an interesting character: she's clever, doesn't suffer from a death wish, and she work hard even if she's investigating.
I loved the feline sidekick and the cast of characters as they are relatable and fleshed out.
A cozy mystery can be a bit formulaic at time but the author avoided the traps and wrote a fresh and compelling story.
Highly recommended.

The first book in a new series full of promises and potential.
It's entertaining, compelling, and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
I appreciated the humour, the fleshed out characters, and the setting.
Can't wait to read the next story.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

There's a lot of potential in this book and it's the best one in this series as it's more gripping and fast paced.
It was a light and entertaining read that that made me smile and try to guess the culprit.
I was glad to meet again the very large cast of characters, both human and pets, and Cassie is growing on me as she shows her softer side.
These mysteries are also a good way to learn something new on the historical side.
The author did a lot of research and the historical background is well structured and vivid.
The mystery is complex and full of twists. I couldn't guess them and the end came as a surprise.
One note: even if I enjoyed this story I think that there's too many characters and sometimes I found hard to keep track of who-is-who.
Even if this is the second in a series it can be read as a stand alone.
I look forward to reading the next instalment, recommended.

This is an excellent series and I think this is the best instalment so far: gripping, fast paced, and twisty.
I was glad to catch up with Chloe and the cast of characters, travel to the lovely setting, and try to guess the culprit and the motive.
Ms Harris is an excellent storyteller and I read this book in one setting.
Highly recommended.

I didn't read the previous book but I throughly enjoyed this one that can be read as a stand alone.
The characters are interesting and relatable, the world building is interesting, and the plot kept me hooked.
I want to read other books by this author.

Some times ago I received an email from Waves Back's Nick inviting me to review Incy Windy by RJ Dark.
I reply "YES" as fast as I could because I loved A Numbers Game, the previous book, and wanted to read other adventure of Mal and Jackie.
I had high expectations and all of them were satisfied as it's a gripping, highly entertaining, humorous, and well written thriller that made me laugh out loud more than once.
Mal and Jackie are two great characters, you cannot help rooting for them and hope they will find the culprit. They're not boy scouts, they're faulted and oftern on the wrong side of law but I cannot help loving them.
RJ Dark can surely write a gripping and well plotted story and this one is excellent. He's a very talented storyteller and his descriptions of the setting are realistic and heart wrenching at times.
This is highly recommended, go and read it.

I had high expectations for Our Child of Two Worlds, Our Child of the Stars was one of my top books back in 2019 and I was very happy when I read that the follow up was being published.
When you have high expectations and loved a book I am always a bit wary about the follow up as I don’t know if it will be up to the first novel and if I will feel again the emotion I felt.
I am very happy to say that all my expectations were met and my doubts solved: this is another page turner that I couldn’t put down, that moved me and made fell in love again with Corey and the great cast of characters.
It’s a book about choices, hope against all odds, war, what it means belonging, and the difficulties in letting go.
There’s a lot going on and there’s never a moment when the plot drags or stopped making me feel emotionally involved in the story.
Stephen Cox is an excellent storyteller, he developed great characters and a fascinating alternate history and world.
It was a riveting, compelling, and gripping read. It left suffering from book hangover as I didn’t want to turn the last page.
A well written and emotionally charged story that I strongly recommend.

DI Wesley Peterson crime series became one of my favorite after I read the first book and this one is amongst the best: riveting, entertaining, and gripping.
i read it in two sitting and it was hard to put it down as there's a lot of twists and it's one of those "one more chapter books.
Past and present mixes and the past affects the present.
I was glad to catch up with the cast of characters and the storytelling was excellent.
It's a fast paced, twisty, and solid mystery that surprised me till the last page (literally)
I can't wait to read the next novel.
Highly recommended.

Anytime I read a book in a series that was written in collaboration-with I usually try to spot the differences.
I wasn't able to spot them in this Hamish Macbeth even if I felt that there were some differences.
That said I had a lot of fun, was happy to catch with Hamish, his pets, and the people of the village.
It's a highly entertaining and nice cozy mystery that kept me hooked and guessing.
I hope it won't be the last in this lovely series as it's excellent.
Highly recommended.
