A good start for a new mystery series: compelling, entertaining, and well written.
Dot is an interesting characters, the historical background and the setting are interesting, the solid mystery kept me guessing.
Can't wait to read another one in this series.

An atmospheric, riveting, and fascinating historical mystery set in Ireland during the Civil War.
Damaged characters, paranormal elements, the aftermath of the WWI and the consequences of the Civil War.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last as I found it brilliant.
Great storytelling and plot development, excellent character development.
It kept me hooked and I loved what I read.

I'm loving the mysteries in The Eye of Isis series as they're compelling and highly entertaining.
They make me travel in time and space and I love to visit Alexandria and Cleopatra's court.
This one was gripping, fast paced, and twisty. Tetisheri is a clever and fleshed out heroine and I love her.
Good storytelling and character development, solid mystery, vivid historical background.

An interesting and well researched history book, I found it entertaining and informative.
Tudor England is a fascinating time, a time of changes and revolution.
The author analyses the different aspects of the sexual life for both upper and lower class.
Some part are a bit repetitive but I liked the book.

I appreciated this riveting, twisty, and complex thriller even if I found it quite slow at the beginning.
Once I was hooked I couldn't put it down.
Chloe is an unreliable narrator but also an interesting character, a damaged woman.
There's a lot going on and the twists surprised me.
