I enjoyed it even if there were some parts that I found a bit unbelievable.
Beth is not always a likeable character but I rooted for her and Tristan.
Festive, heartwarming and sweet.

It's not a classic fantasy more a speculative fiction that develops a what-if based on two characters very loosely based on characters from Ariosto's Orlando Furioso
It's an interesting experiment dealing with topics like gender and how our future is defined by it.
It's a sort of philosophical novel and, even if a bit too long, it was a thought provoking and interesting read.
The polarity of Nature&Nurture, the detached voice of the narrator, the interesting female part of the twin couple are my favorite parts.
I think it could have been shorter as this type of fiction is usually a novella and not 400 pages.
It's difficult to understand who could be the right type of reader, I don't think it's the right type of story if you want a lot of action.

I read "The Crow Folk" and fell in love with this series, having a lot of fun and loving the world building and the great characters.
It would be easy to compare Fanny to Tiffany Aching and, even if there's some similarity, we have to take into account the different setting: Fanny's stories are set against a historical background and the characters are affected by what is happening and WWII.
The author did an excellent job in delivering another gripping and highly entertaining story. There're some creepy moments, plenty of humour, and I couldn't stop reading as I was involved by the plot and the twists.
The world building is fascinating and I can't wait to read other stories as I want to learn more and read about Fanny and the great cast of characters (the old witches are fabolous)
Highly recommended.

A slow paced, fascinating and well written story that mixes horror and fantasy.
Great characters and world building, a fascinating story that closes a series and kept me on the edge till the last page.

I'm always fascinated by books set in Renaissance Florence and I loved this novella that should be the start of a new series.
Great world building, entertaining and fast paced, a cast of interesting characters.
Can't wait to read another book by this author.

Everything you wanted to know about the story of Sister of Mercy and their first years.
It was a fascinating and informative read that brought me back in time and made me discover new sides of this great band.
It's strongly recommended if you want to learn about the early year of SM and its members.

I love this series but this one wasn't my favorite as I think that the mystery took the backsite and it was a bit slow.
I enjoyed it and was glad to catch up with the characters but I prefer when the cozy mystery are more mystery oriented.
It's not recommended if you are new to this series but it's a pleasant read.

An excellent mix of romantic fantasy and women's fiction that kept me reading and hooked.
It's poignant, emotionally charged and gripping. You cannot help feeling and rooting for the characters, loved the descriptions of the setting and the vivid background.
The fantasy elements are well woven in the plot and the author delivers a fascinating world building and great characters.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
Highly recommended.
