I think this series improves with each story and this one is good, compelling and highly entertaining.
It was good to meet again Flora and Jack, we get to know them better and I like the slow burning romance and their banters.
Flora lacks a bit of common sense and sometimes she seems to target someone as a suspects with no specific reason but Jack is good at keeping her in check.
They're a good couple of amateur sleuths according to the tradition of British mystery. They're able to talk to people and the solution is based on the clues they discover.
The mystery is good, full of red herrings, and I enjoyed it even if I guessed the culprit early in the book.
I found the historical background vivid and I like to read about life after WWII and how it could be in a small village.
I can't wait to read the next instalment, highly recommended.

What can be wrong in a book edited by Stephen Jones and featuring Algernon Blackwood, H. P. Lovecraft, M. R. James, Ramsey Campbell, Storm Constantine, Christopher Fowler, Alison Littlewood, and Kim Newman?
Nothing as they're all master storyteller and their story can always scare me.
So please go and read it. It's a very huge book but this means a lot of fun.
Highly recommended.

I think I could love Jeanette Winterson shopping list but I found a bit hard to keep reading this series of essay on AI and feminism.
Her style of writing is as good as always but the content is a bit disjointed and sometimes I found it confusing.
Some interesting food for thought.

WOW! This is the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last as it's brilliant.
A book about discovering who we really are, familiar relationship, the will to believe and growing up.
There're elements of magic realism but there's also a fascinating description of India and its culture.
Great storytelling and character development, a riveting and enthralling plot.
