What a great story: riveting, enthralling, entertaining and well written.
A plot that flows, well developed and interesting characters, interesting and detailed world building.
I think I will surely read the rest of the series as I loved this story.
Even if it's part of a series it can be read as a stand alone.
Highly recommended.

It's a dramatic story that starts with a BANG and never slow down or drags. I found it gripping, entertaining and heart wrenching.
There's a whodunit but there are also a lot of grief, the past triggering actions in the present, and a lot of secrets.
The beautiful setting of Lake Districts is the eerie and ominous perfect background for the suicides and the events of this books.
As I read the previous books in the series it was interesting to catch up with the core groups of characters and meet some new. The author did a good job in evolving the arc of the characters or developing the new ones.
The plot is gripping, it kept me reading and guessing as I had no idea of what was going to happened and what caused the events of the story.
The solution is satisfying and I was surprised the final parts.
I strongly recommend it, it can be read as a standalone but reading the previous instalments will add layers.

Meg Cabot is an excellent storyteller and this story is full of humour and features likeable and fleshed out characters.
A perfect read for a lazy afternoon.

Andrzej Sapkowski is a master storyteller that tells fascinating story and keeps you turning pages as fast as you can.
This mix of historical fiction and fantasy is another excellent story by this author.
The fantasy part takes the backseat but the different elements mixes well and I found it entertaining but also informative as it talks about real historical facts that aren't well known.
Great world building and character development, gripping plot.
Highly recommended.

Even if i liked this book and found it entertaining I found it a bit on the average side.
The world building is interesting, there's a lot of potential but it never became exciting or gripping.
The characters are bit underdeveloped and the romance is sweet but very average.
I think this could have been a gripping story but somehow it didn't work for me.
Not my cup of tea.

An excellent romantic suspense, action packed and gripping.
The author is a good storyteller and this story kept me reading as I couldn't put it down.
I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the romance. The suspense part is solid, full of twists, and mixes well with the romance side.
It's an excellent start for a new series.
Highly recommended.

I don't know if define this as a mystery or a urban fantasy, I know it was gripping and highly entertaining.
The fantasy side mixes well with the creepy atmosphere of the school, the girls'POVs are a pleasure to read and the characters are fleshed out.
The LGBT+ part was really part of the plot, an aspect of the characters and not just a detail for any inclusivity checklist.
I loved this gripping story and can't wait to read the next novel.
Highly recommended.

This is one my favorite Jenny Colgan's book: it's a Christmas story but it's also the story of family relationships, of people who face changes and find their way.
Carmen is a ugly duck, a rebellious and unhappy woman who is saddled with a perfect sister, Sophie. Carmen is single and unemployed. Sophie is well off, married with children and seems to live a perfect live.
There's some romance, there're are lovely descriptions of Edimburgh, and tons of clever and interesting social remarks.
I couldn't put it down as I wanted to know what was going to happen to Carmen and if the struggling bookshop was going to survive.
It's a heartwarming story but there's multiple layers and some food for thought.
An excellent, riveting story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Highly recommended.
