I enjoyed as it was fun to read and fast paced. A mix of steam punk and alternate history, strong female characters and a plot that flows.
It's the start of a series and it introduce the reader to the world even if the world building was a bit overwhelming a times.

This is an excellent historical fiction, a story set during the Black Plague that made me understand what meant during that pandemic.
The author is a talented storyteller and the historical background is well researched and vivid.
Excellent character development, a plot that kept me reading.
Highly recommended.

A poignant, heartwarming and emotionally charged book: it made me smile, remember my dogs and cry buckets.
It's also an interesting story about dog handling and what means working with a police dog.
I think it's a must read for any dog lover.
Highly recommended.

It's a compelling and entertaining fantasy series. There's betrayal, loyalties, strong emotions and plenty of twists.
I liked the world building and found the plot gripping.
The characters were interesting but I found the women in the story a bit underdeveloped.

I don't know if this is an horror or a thriller but I know it's very creepy and twisty.
You never know what will be next, you don't know if there's a rational explanation or it's paranormal.
You simply follow the plot and it kept me on the edge till the end.
There's a mystery but there's also the story of Jessica and both works well together.
The idea of people who is killing according to a book plot is not new but the author did an excellent job in using this trope.
Highly entertaining and gripping.

Another excellent addition to this excellent series, a page turner that kept me on the edge and made me turn pages as fast as I could.
I love both Leah and Luka as they are fleshed out and strong characters. You cannot help loving their strength and how they fight their demons.
The plot is fast paced, full of twists and turns, and it kept me guessing.
I can't wait to read the next story.
Highly recommended.

I read plenty of vampire stories and this was one of the most original I read.
It's a mix of dystopia and fantasy, a coming of age of a vampire in a post-apocalyptic world.
It's fast paced, action packed. Good world building and character development.

It's a quite interesting story and I learned something new never having heard of Stella before.
I found the explanation clear and it was an interesting story.
The author is a bit too preachy at times but I loved Stella.

I enjoyed the second installment in this series as it's fast paced and compelling.
I was glad to catch up with the characters, enjoyed the descriptions of the shop and the chocolate.
The mystery is full of twists and turns, it kept me guessing.
Even if it can be read as a stand alone it's better to read the series in order
