This series is a good mix of cozy mystery and paranormal, always entertaining and riveting.
I was happy to catch up with the characters, as likeable as usual, and had a lot of fun in reading this story.
The mystery is complex, full of twists, and the solution surprised me.

I enjoyed the other novels in this series but this one wasn't for me.
I had high expectations as the Pickwick Papers are my favorite Dickens novel, a perfect mix of humour and social remarks.
There's not a lot in this novel that made me think about the Pickwick Papers and there's not a lot of humour.
Even if I liked Kate I felt that characters are a bit underdeveloped and the plot is confusing and drags a bit.
Not my cup of tea.

A mouthwatering and informative book, a fascinating read featuring plenty of interesting recipes and some information about them.
It's well researched, easy to follow and informative.

I was expecting a paranormal mystery mixed with a women's fiction aspects, this is a women's fiction with some paranormal aspects.
It's well written and the characters are fleshed but the world building is a bit lacking and I wasn't a fan of the characters.
It's one of those "Me-not-the-book" cases, not my cup of tea.

Eleanor Wilde is such an unusual heroine in the world of cozy mysteries as she's a (sort of) reformed con woman and she's a woman with a past.
Her dry humour, her strength make her one of my fav character in the cozy world as she's able to use her past experiences to investigate and trying to keep on living as she choose.
This is another excellent addition to this beloved series, I had to remind me to sleep because I wanted to know what was going to happen.
People from the past, events that could be related to paranormal or not, a lot of humour.
I think this is the best instalment so far and I hope there's going to be a lot of other novels as I want to know what will happen in the future.
The mystery is solid and I was surprised by the twists and the solution.
Highly recommended.

It's always a pleasure to catch with Beryl and Edwina and, even if this is not my fav novel in this series, I thoroughly enjoyed and had a lot of fun.
I think there's a lot of character development: we get to know something more about Beryl's past and I appreciated the evolution in Edwina, her accepting that she's not the well behave and meek spinster she was before living with Beryl.
One of the most interesting aspect is in the culture clash: Beryl has to face what imply dealing with staff and Edwin has to face some unexpected side of the life of an artist.
The mystery starts slow but it's full of twists and it takes our heroines to investigate the life of their hosts and the artists.
The characters are well written and fleshed out as ufual.
Highly recommended.

A festive, heartwarming and well written story about family, secrets and coming together.
I thoroughly enjoyed it as it's well written and the characters are fleshed out and relatable.
The author did it again and I liked this story, rooted for the characters and enjoyed the atmosphere.
The setting is lovely and the descriptions made me wish I could travel there.

Another lovely, heartwarming and riveting Christmas story by this author. It's festive but it also deals with some issue like miscommunication and how hard family relationship can be.
It's a bit slow at the beginning but it grew on me and I enjoyed it.
My only note is that there are some repetitions.
