It took a bit to write this review as I was on the edge not being sure if I liked it or not.
It's quite slow, there're some interesting parts that made me discover new aspects of Spock but I think that his wedding and sentimental life were missing.
I think it's a good book but not my cup of tea.

I think it's a great introduction to one of our greatest contemporary horror writer.
Six short story, a biography, comments about the story.
An excellent primer and a good introduction to this excellent writer.
Highly recommended.

I wanted to love this book but I found it quite slow and the story didn't keep my attention and fell flat.
I think some more world building would help.
Not my cup of tea.

I don't think that Edward Marston can write a bad book or a boring mystery and this novel was no exception.
Gripping, well written and highly entertaining.
Highly recommended.

What an excellent piece of historical fiction! Gripping, well researched and entertaining.
It's action packed and I loved the relationship between father and son.
The historical background is vivid and well researched. It was a good way to learn something new about Ancient Rome history.
Highly recommended.

I was expecting a humorous mystery and this is a spoof of a hard boiled mystery. It' humorous, it made me laugh but it's too long and I think it would work better in audiobook.
The main character is quite old fashioned, seems he's channeling the average police detective from the 70s.
I laughed but I also found it a bit boring as the plot was quite thin and not much of a mystery.
Not my cup of tea.

Like a lot of other Dresden Files fans I was a bit angry after reading Peace Talks as it was the first part in a duology.
Battle Ground is one of those books that keeps you reading and a classic Dresden File: plenty of actions,
disasters, humour and so on.
It's not the best in the series but it's a gripping and entertaining story.
On my side I'm read for Twelve Month (or whatever the next title will be)
Highly recommended.

I enjoy reading this series as the books are always interesting and enjoyable.
This long novella is no excepetion: it's heartwarming, festive and talks of family&forgiveness.
It's a pleasant read that works as a stand alone.
Highly recommended.

This paranormal mystery is an entertaining and gripping story that mixes horror, historical fiction and fantasy.
I liked it but some more world building would have helped.

A Deadly Education was gripping and entertaining, this one is epic and make you wish you could read the next book very soon.
The author delivers a complex story, adding details to the world building and developing her characters in an interesting way.
I loved it and it's strongly recommended.
