I love Killy Wilson's stories because they're always heartwarming and features relatable and well written characters.
This one was no exception: it's heartwarming and sweet, made me smile and root for the characters.
I liked how the two MCs' character arc and like their POV and the story told day by day.
I love the Bristol/Bath area and this story made me visit places I already knew and see them through new eyes.
It was an entertaining and engrossing read.
Highly recommended.

Serendipity made me become a fan of the Kopp Sisters series and I'm never disappointed.
This is another well written and gripping story, it starts slowly but there's plenty going on.
The author delivers a portrait of an age when women were considered inferior and the Kopp sisters are strong willed woman who are able to overcome the difficulties.
I had fun, loved the notes at the end of the book and can't wait for the next one.
Highly recommended.

This was the first book I read by Elisabeth Gifford and won't surely be the last as I found it riveting and fascinating.
A dual timeline historical novel that kept me turning pages as fast as I could as the author is a talented storyteller.
The descriptions of the setting are great, the historical background is well researched, and the characters are interesting and fleshed out.
An excellent read that I strongly recommend.

Even if I was a goth in the 80s I wasn't a huge fan of Joy Division (even if Decades is in my top ten of fav songs) and didn't like New Order. I started to listen to them later in my life and appreciating their sounds.
This is an interesting biography that analyses the band, their story and talks about some aspects that are not so well known or remembered.
I appreciated the style of writing and how the author deals with a sort of "untouchable and seminal" band.
Well researched and well written, it's was also a lot of fun to read.
Highly recommended.

It was a fascinating and gripping read that kept me turning pages.
It's a good dystopia, full of twists and featuring an interesting and fleshed out MC.
The author is a good storyteller and my only note is that the world building should be more developed as I wanted to learn more.
I assume this is the first in a series and I want to read other books set in this world.
Recommended.

Aleister Crowley is the sort of naughty uncle you see in the old family pictures but never met. You heard a lot about him (i even worked with a Thelema) but we never met.
This book was a good way to meet him, to read what he wrote and define my own idea about him.
To be honest I wasn't really impressed by his books as I found them confusing and a mix match of different magical systems.
But i loved the introductions, the notes and the excellent work done by Stephen Skinner as his work helped me to navigate Crowley's works.
Even if I think that the naughty uncle work is not my cup of tea I strongly recommend this book as I think it's a must read.

My godfather was an archivist and worked with ancient manuscripts so I grew up hearing stories about how them
This well researched and compelling book is about manuscripts, how they were written, the authors and their life.

It was an interesting anthology, it made me discover some new to me interesting authors and kept me hooked.
Not all the stories are at the same level, there's a variety of voices and it gives you a good idea of what is the current mystery/suspense scene in USA.

I think there's plenty of new exciting cozy mystery series and this is one the best debut I read in 2021.
It's an engrossing, entertaining and well written story that features an unusual MC (Maria is food anthropologist and a latina).
There's plenty going on in this book and I couldn't put it down as the author is talented storyteller and the plot kept me reading.
The mystery is a bit on the background and it wasn't hard to guess the culprit but what I really appreciated was how the characters were developed and how the author deals with some very serious issues like racism.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Highly recommended.
