This book surprised me, and had a twist at the end that I did not see coming! That final twist pops this up to a 5 star read for me. I enjoyed the page-turning intrigue and the subtle love interest between Pippa and Ravi. This was a good book! I'm unsure if I will read the next one... I really don't know what it is about so I haven't made up my mind yet.
Such a beautiful, dreamy (pun intended) way to end this trilogy. I am NOT ready for this world to be done... I would love more stories about the Raven Boys, Blue, the Lynch Brothers... even a spin off about Carmen's exploits with the Moderators! And what about Jordan, Hennesy... all of them! Give me more...
This story is wonderful. I adore that Emily is not a typical MC, but instead is grumpy, stoic, curious, scholarly… she is so great! There were slow parts to the story, and fast sections as well. I listened to most of this on audio and the narrator has such a lovely voice that I was killed to sleep a few times-despite the excitement of the story. I already have an e-arc of the next book and am very excited to start it very soon!
Such a sweet story! I love the magic in the real world aspect. I also thoroughly enjoyed going along for the ride as Syd discovered everything about who Syd is, isn’t, etc. I love AR Capetta’s stories and will continue to read them all, forever!
What an unexpected, eery delight! I really did not know what to expect when I started this book but I was so happy to find a little bit of romance, some magic, some mystery, and lots of dark vibes! I appreciated the relationship that Wil and El had; their history and everything that created the relationship that they ended up with at the end. I really felt Wil’s sorrow when trying to find her mom and running into seemingly impossible roadblocks. The parts of the story about religion have me the creeps… in a way that felt real and intentional. That is some awesome writing Skyla Arndt! Thank you to NetGalley for letting me read and review this E-ARC!
This was a great story with very interesting magic and characters. I connected with Mar's emotions. I enjoyed the action. I would recommend this to anyone who loves pirate stories.
I was originally given an eArc from NetGalley, but I didn’t finish in time so I went out and bought a copy. I loved the story, the nods toward Pinocchio, Swiss Family Robinson and Wizard of Oz. I read a review recently that mentioned how this book is so very human-even though there is only 1 human… it’s true. I highly recommend In The Lives of Puppets! Go read it!
It's taken me a few days to be able to get my thoughts in order about this book, and it still feels jumbled in my head. I really liked this story-and I almost wish I hadn't read Wolfsong first! I just feel this is it's own story (which it is) but I went into it with preconceived ideas about some of the characters. I think my preconceived ideas clouded how I viewed some characters. Luckily, TJ is an amazing author who was able to write the story so that I learned new things about each character, and now I love them all so much more! The twist of information at the very end will definitely make me read the next two books in this series, and I can't wait! Thank you Netgalley for gifting me a of Ravensong!
