What an unexpected, eery delight! I really did not know what to expect when I started this book but I was so happy to find a little bit of romance, some magic, some mystery, and lots of dark vibes! I appreciated the relationship that Wil and El had; their history and everything that created the relationship that they ended up with at the end. I really felt Wil’s sorrow when trying to find her mom and running into seemingly impossible roadblocks. The parts of the story about religion have me the creeps… in a way that felt real and intentional. That is some awesome writing Skyla Arndt!
