I loved the detail. I felt Thomas' feelings. The books had so much MORE than the movie. I must read the next in the series.

A Potato on a Bike was a super cute book! The children LOVED yelling at the book. The pictures were funny. The illustrations were fantastic. The picture of the Poop was a HUGE hit with my 2-3 year old. I can't wait to get a hard copy of this book for my classroom!

I listened to this book via Libro.fm
I really liked the refresher this short book Gave me! This is perfect to read after The Cruel Prince and before Wicked King. I understand Taryn’s side of the story better now, since this novella is from her point of view. I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of this series or Holly Black!

I will have to come back and write a full review when I can think clearly. I’m still dealing with a little of a book hangover from finishing this last night!

Since this is not normally the genre of book I read, I think it lost a star because it didn't really capture my attention. I listened to this book and I found the main character a little whiny. I think it was just the style of reading, but the character arc was nice. She was a stronger woman at the end of the book. It was a good story about a woman finding herself through a series of life changes. I wasn't happy that she married just a little over a year after she divorced... I got bored at parts because I was listening and there was a lot of explanation of how things looked. But it was a nice story and a good summer read.

Ugh. Maybe I need to take a break from listening to books. Or maybe I need to only listen to books with full casts and not just 1 person reading. But this lost a star because I found it irritating to have the characters sound so shallow. There was not enough depth to them. Maybe that was due to the reading? It may have been better if I’d read this myself, in my head. The story was frustrating. I felt like it was a “high school” story for the first half and a “college” story for the second. There was not much transition. Trinity goes from worrying about boys at home to living with one right away. And she was so irritating. I did not like Trinity. I like to like the main characters. But I can appreciate the world that was built in this book.
One more major issue: there was an incredibly steamy “almost sex” scene that felt very out of place for a YA.
I probably won’t read the next one.
