I'm about 130 pages in so far. It's a cute story from the perspective of Twinkle, the main character. She is writing in her journal, which is how the book is laid out. there are texts and emails mixed in as well. I find this style of writing a little irritating but I'm not really sure why. Maybe because Twinkle's high school perspective is naive? I am not liking the fact that she has a goal to date a boy just to be popular. that is grating on my nerves. And she is upset about growing apart from her best friend (understandable) but she thinks being popular will solve that problem too. The high school mentality is strong with this book. I am hoping she "grows up" so I can leave a 4 star review.
Ok. I finished the book and yes, it was super sweet. Twinkle did "grow up" in a satisfying way. i have decided that Sahil is my favorite character. He is someone I would like to know in real life. I found quotes worthy of remembrance and made sure to mark them. I love finding memorable quotes. The ending of the book was redeeming from the "high school-ness" that was bothering me. I would recommend this book and I'm glad I read it.

Whoa. This book is a thriller with science concepts that are beyond my brain's capabilities to comprehend. There were many scientific concepts that I did not grasp, but I understood the general idea of them. That said, the story was intriguing. I did not connect with the main character (Jason) the way I would have liked to. But the story was interesting and I needed to find out how everything was going to work out, so I kept reading.

What a wonderfully sad and enlightening book! I am so glad this is a work of fiction because the details are so tough to read. But, I realize that the Vel D Hiv was real. It actually happened and it is utterly heat breaking. The story of Sarah is so emotional. I cried through many of her chapters. Julia's story, how it connects with Sarah's and how it concludes in the book was both heartbreaking and real. I don't usually read these sorts of books because they make me feel sad. I read to escape the real world, the actual sad historical events but at times, it is important to be reminded of Real Life. This book did that for me. My one complaint: What do Julia and William do after their 3rd meeting? UGH! I want to know. I, personally, need a little more closure.
All in all, Excellent book. I recommend!

So far, lots of emotions. The story makes me want to cry. Emotions are raw, real, and heavy! I hope the rest of the book does not disappoint.
Ok. I just finished. I really love this book. I am so impressed with the details and images I was given... I really SAW the story come to life! I was not disappointed with the rest of this book. Eelyn was a character with emotions that I could feel. I hurt with her, cried with her, and felt love when she did. I was literally laughing, crying and making sounds of disgust as the story unfolded. When she digs out the eyeball... I could Hear the sounds and it was fantastic! the ONLY reason this book does not have 5 stars is because I found 2 editing errors, and editing errors drive me insane!

great story. interesting new world and intriguing characters. if only it had been edited better. double words and misplaced words. I found about 20 errors! so disappointing.

This book was different from what I normally read, but I really liked it. Circe is a character with layers, who changes as the story progresses. her life spans many many years, and the stories within her life were interesting and satisfying.

*Spoilers ahead* Normally I wouldn't have picked this book because it's just not my "normal" genre, but it was the most interesting choice out of my 5 options from #bookofthemonth. I really liked it. It's inspirational, and the characters are witty. It literally had me laughing out loud, and real tears dripped down my face. Even with a few of the outcomes being very predictable (obviously she falls in love with her PT; obviously her parents get back together) the story was still enjoyable. I'd recommend this book because it's a feel good book.

I am torn... good book, ok writing style, editing errors, a story that is interesting but too much to keep track of in regards to backstory/history and not enough explanation. not sure if I'll read anymore in this series.

this one was a bit hard to get through. the story is wonderful, the descriptions of characters is imaginative and creative. I'm not sure why I struggled. I think it just did not grasp me.
