For too long society (and us speaking autistics) have let the voices of our non speaking fellows go unheard. This collection of essays from those who type, spell, and point is required reading.

Divoured this puppy in one sitting. So well written and so authentic! Pulling from her own life, the author tells of a young Chinese immigrant and her family that run a hotel and the trials they face.

TW: rape, incest, coercion, misogyny, sex.
NOTE: There are jokes involving Zeus's rapes, not approving of it, and many times calling it out as bad, but still, they are jokes involving it - which I found the concept at times to be uncomfortable)
A really hilarious retelling of the Greek Gods - think a *very* adult version of Horrible Histories for grown-ups. The style might not be for some but I quite enjoyed it.

TW: death, blood, abusive and manipulative parent, PTSD, Psychosis (metaphor of)
Just as breathtaking and wonderful as it's predecessor. It had its slower moments, but I loved the duel metaphor for mental health, purpose vs guilt, and of course my sweet baby-ace Dayo.

A fast-paced adventure of twins Tui and Kae, who don't get along, trying to rescue their mother from the underworld. I absolutly adored the Māori mythology (I love anything involving Taniwha), and THAT COVER!

TW: complicated mother/daughter relationship, accusations of acting white
This book captured the punk subculture, along with Mexican American heritage so well, along with the complications of not 'feeling enough' like you belong. I loved the real zines and learning about all the great new music suggestions!

CHECK TW(!!!) https://www.sashalaurens.com/content-warnings-for-a-wicked-magic
I'm quite torn, in some ways I adored this story, in others I'm so squicky about certain contents and characters I'd never reccomend it to certain groups of people. I'd say check the TW and if you'll be OK with the contents it's definitly worth a go!

A brilliant little quick read that I'd reccomend for kids and adults, as well as teens. It covers really basic stuff, but in a super accessible way. I also got to give points for mentioning gender diversity!
