TW: mentions of: misogynior, misogyny, racism, antisemitism, slavery, murder, queerphobia

First off THAT COVER(!!!) I love it so.much. A really great book if you're a fan of regency/feminism! Highlights woman, highborn, POC and Queer, who played important but often invisible roles in regency era society, or who bucked those roles.

TW: transphobia, misgendering, homophobia, bullying, discrimination, religious trauma

A sweet and heartfelt book. I really appreciated the autistic rep, and though it was handled well, some bits were a bit 'this kid is autistic and only does autistic stuff*. But I also appreciated the complications that can come from being closeted and queer in a very religious environment.

*note: I am autistic myself.

TW: death of a parent, drowning and near drowning

All of O'Niell's books radiate such pure calm. Even this story, about the urgency of pollution, is like a warm hug. The message is important. Everyone, even us little people, must do our part.

TW: transphobia, trans misogyny, misgendering, deadnaming, classism, racism, homophobia, mentions of death and suicide, CPTSD,

THIS WAS SO GOOD (I rarely use all caps)! This was a milestone, breakthrough book on transgender history in Britain. An absolute MUST READ for trans folk and allies. I cannot reccomend this enough!!!!

An absolutly steller book from start to finish. Not only were the subjects of each section fascinating, but it was written so accessibly, and the illustrations for each fossel brought each story to life.

TW: N/A

Definitely kept the continuity of the Wayside stories of yore, along with some brilliant chapters, returning characters and jokes -however the chapters were not as self contained as previous books.

TW: mentions of; transphobia, sexual assault, suicide, suicide ideation, misgendering, misogyny, terfs, depression, anxiety, surgery

A great commentary on trans memoirs, as well as recording Juliet's life journey, not just her trans path, but her many intercrossing traits and experiences.
