CW: transphobia, homophobic slurs, physical and mental assault.

A stunningly beautiful, funny, and achingly raw summery of life about, celebrating, and encouraging non-binary lives. Allies and others in the queer community need to read this book.

CW: death, mention of drugs (not used), gaslighting, homophobia, infidelity, past death of dog mentioned

I've been waiting for a thriller/mystery that actually surprised me at the reveal! Much of Mac's investigation outcomes seemed a bit too convinient, and the final solution a bit unrealistic, but overall a very enjoyable and fun mystery with a lovely queer romance sprinkled it!

"[Transgender and non-binary people] have been healers, shamans, revered rulers. We are no less than the stars and we are expressions of all that is beautiful in this universe that knows no other constant but change... Go forward... Knowing you are perfect, whole, and complete... Know your ancestors were no less than gods. "

CW mentions of (but handled amazingly) : transphobia, bullying, sex, abuse, mentions of genitals, discrimination, conversion therapy

This book is the most accessible and comprehensive starter AND survival kit for being trans I've ever read! I'm so happy it exists.

Perfect too for parents/family who are starting from square one.

Covers everything from gender/sex, to the nitty gritty of transitioning (from social to medical, and the health and safety in each) sex, relationships, navigating church and family and school and work.

CW: guardian abuse of power/authority

Such a heartfelt romp of a story with a cute lesbian romance, and sooo many laugh out loud panels, poses, expressions and quips. I'm so happy to see great middle grade comics like this!

Cw: audism, ableism, bullying, sexual assault, semi-graphic description of surgery, mentions of death/cadaver body parts, eugenics.

FIY I am not deaf nor have I had any previous exposure to the Deaf community (hence my wanting to read this book)

I hope everyone, especially us folk who aren't members of the Deaf community read this. I learned so much about audism and ableism I unconsciously carry, both external and internal. Fiona weaves us through her life with ease, power and heart. She dosnt hold back from her inner most thoughts. Though I myself am not deaf, I am disabled in other ways (autistic, ADHD). I could easily empethize with her feelings of loneliness and the pressure one feels to 'mask' their invisible disability.

Tw: hp references, death, discussions of suicide, bullying, fatphobia.

Good humour and characters round this mystery up quite nicely. Mila has a chance to bring a dead friend back and by doing so accidently finds out she's a kick-butt witch that may have brought some other people back too...

Tw: bullying, ableism, ableist slurs, HP references, talk of sex, ocd compulsions, anxiety and panic attacks, mentions of rape, acephobia and exclusionist comments.

I felt this in my bones. So much shared experience. Ace? Yep! Autistic? Yes sir. Non binary? Check. Bi/pan romantic? Check check and checkaroo baby.

My school, home, personal life, my work and relationships, everything matches my own lived experiences. I'm biased as this is very much my own life I've just read. As they said in the book "wow, representation feels amazing!"

Cw: none

Such a soft graphic novel, sweet and comfy, full of adorable tea dragons and of course warm and tender characters.

TW: misgendering, deadnaming

So. Much. Fun. I loved every inch of this middle grade graphic novel. From the beauty of the art to the intricately intertwined relationships - much like the thread of blue that weave this story together. Amazing trans rep. I love my baby trans girl Grayce!
