TW: mentions of homophobia abd transphobia, a chapter on HP and author, death of family member to luekemia

Super funny and intensely insightful. It made me think quite a lot on my experiences- and how sometimes we forget how messy and complicated being queer in the early 2000s was.

TW: death, abuse, torture, beatings, blackmail, dictatorship, blood

Read it read it read it. That's what I rate this amazing look into such recent history, that happened in my lifetime, but I never knew about. Informative, fast paced, well researched and IMPORTANT.

TW: ableism, chronic pain, mentions of death of wife and child, classism, graphic sex

A fun little romp of a historical romance. I admit I'm spoiled in these by reading Georgette Heyer, but this was a good alternative for queer representation in a similar style and era.

TW: classism, verbal abuse, death and murder

Easy to read but this book never talks down to the reader. Artful, powerful and with a very clever reveal at the end.

TW: G slur, death, murder, parental abandonment

A funny and clever middle grade book with some fun dark humour and a whole lot of heart. Great for fans of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

TW: divorce, alcoholism

Super sweet and important book, but ending didn't seem quite resolved enough.

TW: ableism, anxiety, a character being outed

A fun #ownvoices read with good autistic and disability rep, dealing with real world difficulties in plans changing, surprises, feeling left out, drifting apart from friends, etc.

TW: ableism, uncensored use of the R slur and other ableist language, praying to 'heal' disabiliy, anxiety attacks, blood

I love love loved the rep, but there was quite a lot happening, and yet nothing really happening. Daisy and Noah never seem to talk things fully through and the final conflict just... Resolved? Even though a character litterally repeated their mistake? Also, Noah's Scottish family was played up to almost humorously over the top levels. Heck, they even had Scottish terror named Haggis! All the scottish stereotypes mashed into one family!
