A total fluff book. It's a collection of short stories that describe how various couples met. It's a good little romance novel, and shouldn't be taken too seriously.
The continuation of the series Me Before You, this next (and final?) chapter concludes the journey of Lou Clark. It was a charming romance, with plenty of twists and turns-- and a very satisfying ending. This series is great, and I suggest it to anyone looking for sweet romance.
Had a very good set up, but overall felt like the book dragged on for much longer than necessary without enough plot to fill the gaps. It felt a little disjointed at the end. Overall good fluff read for light-hearted Austen fans.
This is such a sweet young adult book! The main character is a perfectionist who, through her extensive use of lists and planning, has become a soccer star, class president, volunteer extraordinaire, and Ivy League hopeful. So, when a new artsy guy comes to her school, why can't she win him over with the help of Korean dramas and a fail-proof step-by-step list? This book is great if you're looking for some cotton candy (i.e. fluffy and super sweet) with just a little dose of reality.
If you're looking for a lighthearted, young-adult romance novel with plenty of European cities and cute boys, then this book is for you!
As a person who spent half a year in Europe, I can vouch for the accuracy of this book; it captures the excitement and trepidation of being abroad in a strange, beautiful city without having a clue of what you're doing. While at the same time, it deals with the confusion of love and heartbreak in a frustrating, but realistic, manner. It follows Sydney who is backpacking across Europe with her best friend, Leela-- who was just recently dumped by her boyfriend. Both girls have just finished their first year in college, and have no real plan for their 4 1/2 weeks abroad. Cue the drama, great food, and self-discovery.
This book is definitely in the same thread as Anna and the French Kiss, Love & Gelato, and To All the Boys I've Loved Before-- although a bit more grown up. There's copious amounts of alcohol and a fair amount of sex (including a whole thing at a sex club in Amsterdam), so I would probably suggest this book for a more mature or older young-adult reader. Like I said, if you're on the hunt for something fun with just enough fluff then give this book a shot.
