The plots and characters were great. It's not my favourite magic system, however it was interesting to read one made quite differently.

Not the most readable book but interesting ideas in many places.
"Your in-most being is a masterpiece of divine creativity". This is my first encounter with Jen Hatmaker in any context. I found the audiobook incredibly listenable and full of encouraging, inspiring and thought provoking content. Entertaining in how it's written, even more so in how it's read. Any woman will find something in here to help find their God given space in this world.
Not what I was expecting, I loved the concept and appreciated the skill in the writing but over all it was mostly just depressing.
An epic story. I wasn't convinced by the supernatural elements at first but the more I listened the more intrigued I was. Seriously impressive characters and world.
