Lovely pictures but the content wasn't particularly informative and it was repetitive at times.
Great fun, it had Evanovich's style all throughout with fun characters, though perhaps a little toned down compared to her Stephanie Plum series.
I think I enjoyed it more than the first. I feel a binge read coming on.
I enjoyed this book and liked the premise of magic and tech waves. The actual characters and plot were fun to read though fairly generic for the genre. It definitely reminded me of Patricia Briggs' Mercedes Thompson series in that respect.
It took me ages to get around to reading this as the size put me off, but I thoroughly enjoyed it once I started. I couldn't understand why a chic-lit needed over 500 pages, I thought it would have a needlessly up and down romance, but I was wrong; instead there was great plot that really had you rooting for the characters. I also don't usually like it when you switch perspectives in a book, and again this book surprised me as it was so smoothly done giving you glimpses of side plots and the main plot from different view points.
Over all I'm really glad I finally read this book after owning it for nearly 5 years.

I've read better books of this kind. It was very repetitive and many of the example are a bit out dated now but alot of the info was interesting.
I don't really know how to rate this book. I bought it without really knowing what it was. I was looking for a chic-lit read with some gardening in when to my surprise I found a unashamedly Christian romance.
It's not particularly well written, nor subtle and yet somehow it reached me spiritually. I've had this audiobook for nearly 4 years and never listened past the first chapter because I didn't like the readers voice. And now, perhaps when God be knew I was listening, I retried this book and heard God clearly.
As I said earlier in all the traditionally senses I don't think this is a very good book, but I will appreciate the spiritual support.

I can't think of a redeeming feature. I can't explain all the positive reviews. If your looking for a redemption story, or an action story, this is neither. Just really blunt and minimal writing that at times is hard to follow with content that is equally bleak. Not a single shred of chearfulness in the whole book.
As I listened to this as an audiobook, I couldn't help but notice how repetitive the language was. I think it was intentional but I wasn't a fan. All the conversation used OK several times and were only about 5 words long.
I love post apocalypse of the sort where civilisation rediscovers itself and rebuilds from scratch. (not zombie stories). I just didn't really get the point of this one.
