More of a 3.5 there were parts of this really enjoyed and some fun characters but a bit too outlandish for my tastes. I did enjoy the book recommendations throughout, it didn't feel like product placement like these things sometimes do.

A fascinating tale in many ways. Wonderfully described with an engaging plot. It was a little slow in places (hence not giving it 5 stars) but the last quarter in particular was riveting.

An immature yet very entertaining take on inter-railing. Boys humour and honesty made a charming read as the boys traipsed around Europe without a plan or clue, avoiding culture wherever possible.

A great follow up to 84 Charing Cross. Helene Hanff writes in such an entertaining, charming way? The descriptions of people and places really take you there and there are all sorts of historical nuggets along the way.

Written in a readable way. It started well, with perfectly solid, sound, practical ideas, but I felt it overreached itself later on. I suppose it was is written as two guys thoughts and ideas, not as science, yet the pseudo-science and almost theology described in later sections is endemic of alot of western culture. Though it overtly describes the necessity of contributing it also seems to encourage selfishness. We've gone from a village raising a child to a nuclear family to complete self centred, self care, mindfulness and prioritising self.

Change or remove things, people and relationships that don't add value to you. Contribute because it adds value to you. Remove unnecessary conversations and words when communicating.

As I said earlier. I think it overreached and ended a bit muddled in its ideas by the end.

Lots of basic entry level, useful information for starting out with a camper.

Not the best written book as the author admits, and it seems to be written from the point of view of a reasonably well off couple traveling in relative luxury. Even so an interesting read when researching a trip in similar locations.

I preferred her first book (garden of small beginnings) to this one, though enjoyable, wasn't quite as funny and seemed to be trying too hard to be current. It started really well but was quite cliche in the second half.
