Such a good book. Every word, character and moment is an addition to it's greatness. There are no weak points.

Action packed and enjoyable enough. A very stocatto choppy feel to the writing confusing at times.

Fascinating overall.
but the ending was far too ambiguous and way too many threads left without closure

Delightful. Beautifully and simply written with lovely evocative language and imagery. A slice of life I could never experience mysel due to time and location. It successfully made me homesick for a place I'd never been and people I'd never known. Very glad I read it.

Light and fun with a well developed world, if a little predictable.

Good for its genre. Its always nice to see capable women without the need to turn them into a super ninja or magical powerhouse.

I loved the tone of this book. The sly humour of the narrator (Overton) really made this very readable when it otherwise could have felt like a chore. Based on the first half of this book I was going to give it 5 stars but the second half I found too philosophical and therefore found it dragged in places. (I'm probably not educated enough in that area to understand what they were saying). Overall I'm very happy I've read it and may do so again; I can imagine it would be a really good audiobook.
