Very funny. I enjoyed it more than the first one.
An easy enjoyable listen. It ticked all the boxes a cozy fantasy should with a good amount of low stakes plot and lovable characters that occasionally made me laugh out loud. A few issues with plot holes, uncharacteristic behaviours, over the top discussions about feelings and the clichéd "walls" but I'm still happy to have spent my time listening to the story.

Wonderfully endearing and real. Still completely relatable despite reading it for the first time as a 33 year old woman living in a different country, 53 years after it was 1st published. In my opinion deserving of all the praise sent it's way. The only downside is it ended too soon for my liking, I wanted to read more.
I enjoyed it and was both charmed and highly invested by the end. It did take me a good 40% of the book to get onto it, and likely would have given up early on if I hadn't heard so many good things about it. I'm not sure I can profess the same level of adoration for this book as I've seen from others but I am happy I continued on to finish it.
Not my usual genre so it's hard to review it. It was very readable if a bit plodding in pace. Some of the characters were inconsistent in a way that was little jarring and there were various story threads that seemed to be a big deal and just sort of fizzled out. That being said, over all I enjoyed it and will likely try the author again.
medium-paced
A strong start as long as you can suspend your disbelief and really embrace the current decade. Winnie is likable and as cringy as some of the references were it was still very readable. Unfortunately it then dragged quite a lot in the second half and was all self sabotage and introspection.

A slice of life in a fantasy setting. Very easy and enjoyable to listen too.

Very enjoyable characters and tone, though the plot is a little convoluted.

Overpowered protagonists, and at times insufferable especially Juniper. Besides that an interesting premise.
