This is the sequel to The Wall of Winnipeg and Me which I also read as I am in love with Marian Zapata and her men. I do still really enjoy this book because it is in her writing that is a mix of comedy, romance, and life lessons. However, this is definitely my least favorite of hers. I do find Bianca to be a bit too oblivious for my liking sometimes and I feel like I could’ve gone without almost every fart joke in this book. Besides those two things, I enjoy it and will continue reading it yearly like I do with Mariana’s other books.

I love Mariana Zapata. She’s probably the only romance author that I think can get away with writing a romance novel over 350 pages. She just was a wonderful way with words and creates great plots that aren’t just centered on the romance. Obviously, the main plot is often the romance, but each of her books include stories of self-discovery and growth that are really inspiring. I love this book in particular but it shows lonely people finding comfort in each other. It’s heartwarming to read about. Although Aiden does get on my nerves sometimes, you can see throughout the book that he genuinely cares about Vanessa and is trying his best to change and improve for her.
