Full of Emotion

I didn't know what to expect going into this, maybe a lighthearted murder mystery with a healthy dash of romance. Juniper Bean is certainly that, but it has heavy moments and shocking moments as well. Juniper and Aiden are the exact right amount of quirky and I adore them both so much. I related to them both, hard, for various reasons, and I adore how Gracie describes Aiden's developing attraction to Juniper. There is so much love between them, and the characters are so well developed, this is one of those books that proves you don't always need to have spice for a good romance. It's wholesome and heart wrenching and I absolutely think this is going on my top ten for 2023 reads.

This might be my favorite

After reading Praise and Eyes on Me, I already knew I was walking into some insanely good smut - I didn't expect to really relate to these three as much as I did. I adore Hunter, Drake and Isabel so much, and this one might be my favorite so far.

Did not disappoint!!

Holy guacamole! Ahhh! I'm dying - this was SO GOOD!
If you love rock stars, the 80s, and bad boys who are big softees inside, this is the book for you!!
The moment I can preorder Dollhouse, I will be doing so, I absolutely need more of Phoebe and Damien!

I fell in love with both Will and Cora and felt broken at the end, for both of them. I wish there was more, I need better closure than this!

Read in one sitting and cried my eyes out

That's it. The headline is the review. Seriously. It's 3am. I couldn't put this down. I connected so hard with Lauren and I adored Asa so much, everything about this book was perfect.

Cute

I enjoyed this more than I expected for a surprise baby tale. But the plot worked out well and the way the characters interacted was heart warming.

Swoon worthy

Gosh, I'm melting over this. The twist felt a little forced, but it worked out in the end so.... But, I still really loved the whole book, and Beck is certainly swoon worthy. I feel like the best part was the opening - who doesn't want a man to go to those sort of lengths?

Excellent

Fantastic worldbuilding, a unique magic system (to me at least), and political intrigue are all woven together for a fantastic fantasy adventure. I loved how the world felt like it could have been our own at some point, just with heaps of magic and obviously different religions dominating everything. The cultures are clearly inspired and influenced by real life countries, but not so much that they felt insulting. Overall fun read that leaves you wanting the next book, immediately.

Meh

Too short to really develop the characters. Everything fell kind of flat. I get that they were supposed to have an established history, but their relationship was just dropped onto the page with nothing to hold on to for the reader. Short doesn't mean you can lack character development and creating chemistry.

Very short, very spicy

Minimal plot, a whole lotta spice. Like, 90% spice. A very fast read, I read this in under an hour. I'd be interested in reading a longer story involving this trio, but short and steamy is good too.
