So sweet

Loved this follow up to the first book! The world building leaves me curious, and I'll certainly be looking at reading more in the series, even though they're by different authors.

Excellent

Loved this! Picked this up as part of a sale, and now that I've read it, I'm certain I would have paid full price for it. Loved the characters, the history woven into the story and all the worldbuilding the author has done.

Enchanting

Curious worldbuilding, part post apocalyptic part high fantasy. I really love Magdalne and all her imperfections that make her one of the most well balanced characters I've seen recently. The development of her relationships through the book is paced well, and nothing felt too slow or too rushed. The dragon wasn't much of a surprise, but I'm not sure he was meant to be. Certainly looking forward to book two!

Fantastic followup.

Absolutely must read the first book before this one!
Mag certainly knows how to get herself into trouble! Was holding my breath for most of the adventure, worried things wouldn't turn out! Very glad there's a third book already available!

Fantastic!

Just as I love her monster Romance (under Clio Evans), I really loved this small town suspense romance under her alternate pen name!

Definitely not as sweet and innocent as other small town romances, with a heavy share of hot, steamy spice. The suspense of the mystery kept me interested and guessing the whole way through, and I didn't figure out 'whodunit' until closer to the end. Great stuff!

Not amazing, but not terrible

Honestly, not the best book I've read. It felt like the author was plucking bits from Bridgerton and Pride & Prejudice and didn't really make anything unique.
The writing felt basic. Though it was technically all proper grammer and punctuation, it didn't feel creative.
This had a lot of potential, and it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't finish it. I would like to see where this author ends up in the future, given time to develop their skills.

Short, a little misleading.

There is no reverse harem in this book. Maybe there is in later books, but not this one.
It's also a very short read. I read it in under 3 hours.

Besides all that though, I was really enjoying the story and how the different characters came into things. I wish we'd been able to see more of the wolf man and his family.
