Typical mafia

This is a very typical, very standard mafia romance. I enjoyed it, but I just didn't feel it was very original. It did have a satisfying end, but I felt like Kat kept forgiving too easily. And with all the talk of a mafia war, and with how possessive and protective Dante was, I expected there to be more actual danger to her from outside his family. I also felt, considering how fiesty Kat is supposed to be, that she forgave Dantes toxic traits too easily.

Sucks you in.

Fun, sexy and thrilling. I might be obsessed with the Ryan brothers now, and am very glad there's more to read.

So glad I have the next books waiting

I think one had more spice than the previous two combined. And gosh, that one scene... *Fanning self* that was hot!
Most of this book is tamer on the action side though, focusing more on developing the relationships between the brothers and Jessie.

A fun romp

When it comes to the Ryan brothers, you can't expect plot heavy books. But there is enough plot to keep the book moving forward between spicy scenes and it's a decent plot.
If you took away most of the spice, from the first four books, you could probably make two books instead of four. But since the spice is fun (and when you have four partners, of course there's lots of spice), it's not so bad.

Keeps you entertained

One of the best books I've read this year - Dominic Duncan is a force to be reckoned with and Sophie is bold and smart. Lots of spice, lots of blood (hey, it's a vampire book, of course there's blood!), and a good plot to keep you entranced the whole way through! If you loved Theas debut, Babydoll, and you like dark romance and vampires, you'll certainly enjoy it as much as I did! I am absolutely buying a physical copy and re-reading it again!

Swoon worthy.

I think the covers of Laurens books throw me off. You pick them up expecting mediocre drivel, but end up reading a story that steals your heart and makes you wish you were one of the characters.
Bridger and Harlows story is no different, I loved how hard Bridger resisted and then how hard they both fell. I could feel their emotions bleeding through the page and the way the spicey bits are written in it just feels natural and beautiful. Excellent and well done!

Better than expected!

Sometimes the hype is worth it. I've seen Hooked around the book community a lot, and I can't say I regret finally taking the plunge. For some reason I thought it was fantasy, but that's on me. It's a fantastic twist on the Peter Pan world, with James Barrie, aka Hook, as the main male character. Well thought out, brilliantly written. A fantastic read all around.

Looooved it!!!

Seriously, I may like Malec more than I liked Zoltan (in the Sea Witch).
This is stand alone, and you do not need to have read the previous book in the series to enjoy this one.
Sleeping Beauty was never my favorite fairy tale, but all the twists and turns and surprises kept me entertained. Aura is just the right amount of spunk, and with everything that happens she doesn't lose that edge even when things could easily drag her down for good.
Like The Sea Witch, the world building is excellent (and absolutely fascinating!) and there are plenty reminders that you should always be open to learning new things instead of being blinded by what everyone always tells you is right.

Too short!

This felt too short - I know there's more books, but it felt like it could have gone longer.
I do like the world building and the intensity of Adaras conflicting emotions is well written. Looking forward to reading the next one!
