Very informative story choc full of statistics but still interesting. About the struggles and hardships women face in a lifetime over different decades and even til today but specifically in South Korea.

I always forget how long this book is. Like it just keeps going. There’s like 6 climaxes and then it starts to wrap up but nooo. The ending is sorta boring too but it’s still a favorite

It’s written in second person!!!!!!!!! I’ve always looked for a book ins scone person and ahhh

It switches between perspectives of different people affected by the Gwangju uprising in SKorea. Very interesting, informative, and tragic.

Weird confusing plot since it jumps times and perspectives. I thought it would be a romance like pride and prejudice but it is very much not. Characters are all annoying and terrible and I feel like there should be a moral to it but it’s a bit lacking

Exquisite.~direct quote from Dorian Gray every three words

But this book was truly exquisite. I loved the morality issues and the commentary on society and how beautiful people are treated. I loved how rotten Dorian became. The character development was fabulous.
I love how pretentious Lord Henry is! It might be my favorite thing. I just love everything he says because he is so very pretentious and he just destroys Dorian and treats Dorian as his own little experiment. Harry just tries to stir the pot and keep things interesting. Lord Henry also has some really great quotes.
I love Basil. He's so fabulous. DorianxBasil is my OTP. Dorian Gay amirite?
(but actually doe)

I'm really excited to watch the movie version of this book with Ben Barnes as Dorian Gray because it looks hella funny and it looks like the entire movie is one gay orgie and Dorian has a blood fetish but like you do you.

This book was exquisite and still relevant today because of morality issues and the commentary on beautiful people and it's hella gay and i love Oscar Wilde can we not
i cant even

I dunno how I feel about this book. I think it is overly hyped. I enjoy his writing style and how blasé it is but at the same time it’s almost just a sexual fantasy that he’s published as a fiction. Also the female characters serve no purpose besides sex which is dumb. I also enjoyed Kafka one he shore better cause it had a weird fantastical element to it where as this story was more realistic and just about death. I don’t get the hype. Also was frustrated by how the main character (written by a man) is portrayed as a sorta great but average man who is respectful of women but from my perspective he still treats them like shit.

educational but story based. touches on a wide variety of anti racist subjects including queer anti racism and feminist anti racism.
audiobook is great because it’s narrated bu the author.
