How am I ever going to read another biography knowing they will never be as good as this one

More like interconnected short stories. Deliberately vague and jumps around in time. I didn’t fully understand what’s going on until the last two chapters and they are phenomenal & absolutely mind blowing. Definitely a book that rewards patient readers and those who love “weird” stories!
I love sci fi that discusses humanity. In this case, the book asks: can we understand humans through technology humans created?

Such a fun read with a good mix of romance and mystery! I could totally see this as a k drama

This is exactly the type of weird stuff I love to read. A very on-the-nose satire that explores “rejection” through different perspectives—a self-proclaimed feminist who’s a cis straight white dude, a Thai American who came out as gay, a startup bro trying to manifest his multimillion dollar future, etc.
I especially love the ending—not to give too much away but it ties in the themes of rejection across all the stories.
For lovers of satire this will be very fun! But I think most readers might not like it lol. It’s a book that will make you question humanity, makes you ask “what’s the point”, make you uncomfortable. And it’s brilliant if you’re willing to go to the dark side. If AFTERPARTIES is chaotic good, REJECTION is chaotic evil.
Also check TW because one story (Ahegao) is veeeeeeery obscene

I really enjoyed this sapphic retelling of Greek myth full of tension and spice. I’m not familiar with the Eros and Psyche, but feel like the author did a great job crafting an intriguing story. There are lots of references to other Greek gods and myths that flew over my head a bit; it didn’t take away the enjoyment but I could tell I’m missing context when stories about other gods and how they connect the the main storyline are mentioned.
The themes of gender fluidity and sexuality is the most fascinating thread for me!
